It seems as if president Uhuru Kenyatta is in a mission of remaining in power even after 2022 Kenya general election. This is through the BBI initiative which he is secretly pushing for a parliamentary system, with an executive prime minister.
With this, he believes he will be back in power, where he will possess the prime minister's post.
That why they are reading from different scripts, with his deputy William Ruto, because one is for presidential system and the agreement they had before 2013 election. While the other is for the parliamentary system.
Of late Uhuru have been furious with any mount Kenya leader who is questioning the BBI report on issues; why are the BBI copies not available to common Kenyan,is the BBI a mission to unite Kenya or divide it,is there a plan to introduced another BBI to over shadow the Bomas one? When any leader ask such question faces the victimization of the government.
The Mount Kenya people seems not being ready for parliamentary system. Where their song is one man one vote one man one shilling. This region had been supportive to president Uhuru in his political career, but of late the region has started differing with the president and his BBI bid.
The mount Kenya residents have been crying for the economocal challenges they have been going through. They have been selling their farm produce at a through away price but the Uhuru government has not been protecting the resident from the hands ruthless brokers who have been victimizing them while buying their farm produce. Where most of the resident depends on farming for their economical survival.
When the residents were voting in the Jubelee government had great hope that it would raise their living standard from the current one, which has not yet been implemented.
If it will happen Uhuru through BBI will change the constitution, from presidential system to parliamentary system, with an executive prime minister. He might not be supported by the region for his prime minister's seat bid. Only time will tell the way the politics will take the coarse in the country.
